Annie Laura Dickens

Annie Laura Dickens, 76, died on September 2, 2018 at the Legacy House in Ocala. She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Dickens; Her Mother-in-Law Alma Gray Dickens; her daughters, Michelle Novella(John), Cheryl Sponagle, Annie Laurie Barrish(Bruce); her brother, Harvey R. Johnson (Barbara); her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Annie Laura  was born December 21, 1941 and was the daughter to the late Harvey R Johnson and Alice I Ribe. Annie Laura grew up in Ocala graduating from Ocala High School class of 1959. She met her husband Robert while attending Montreat College in NC. After their marriage in 1961 they made their home in NJ to raise their family together. During her career as a florist Annie Laura managed several flower shops. She was very artistic in oil painting and  active in her community with Square Dancing, Bridge Club, Garden Club, Woman’s Club and the Church Choir.   Annie Laura and Robert moved following retirement to Roanoke Rapids, NC for ten years and then Rainbow Springs, FL in 2003. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. 

 Memorial Services celebrating Annie’s life will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Dunnellon.
