I offer my condolences to Harry's family. Harry was as childhood friend, we grew up as neighbors on Wallis Sands beach in Rye, NH. and fellow students at Portsmouth High. He was a warm caring person.

We extend our sincere sympathy to you, Claudette and your family. When Harry and you visited with us and we drove to Harry's family homestead in rural PEI, the place was occupied by two US peiople who came to PEI as they did not wish to partake in the Viet Nam war. These two became Canadian citizens and we're sure Harry would have been very proud of that. It is now a large dairy farm. Harry has a big heart and we always felt fondly connected to him and all his family.

Again our sincere sympathy to you all from his Canadian cousins.

Love

Dear Claudette & Family,
Harry was my best friend for almost 70 years. There are no words. We are heartbroken for you and your family and heart sick for ourselves, but we want you to know how privileged we feel to have had the great gift of Harry's and your friendship and generosity all these years, and we will treasure that always. There has never been a better friend or a kinder or better man, and he will always be the boys "Uncle Harry" and he will always be mine and Ulla's irreplaceable friend. We will carry him in our hearts always and keep you and Colleen, Neil, Debbie and their families in our thoughts. Our very deepest condolences, Claudette. We loved Harry as we love you.

When I first Harry, the first impression was this guy is a know-it-all, but there must be more to him than that because Claudette was with him; learned quickly that indeed you were one of the most intelligent men I knew who gave with an open heart to the rest of us. Your lasting impression is a man whose priority, concerns, and love were for Claudette.
Thank you for being my friend and teacher. I loved you too.

Dear Claudette and Family,
I attempted to send you a note last evening, obviously without success. I was so saddened to receive the email from Neil re his dad's passing. I love his picture his always smiled with his eyes too when he smiled. Such a nice guy. The MacLeod family always treated us with such love ans generosity. You two were a good team Claudette, you will miss him a lot, as will all who knew him. I will cherish the wood carvings he so generously sent...just as recently as this past Christmas....always giving and sharing.
I pray you will find comfort and strength from God, who loves you and family, will see you through this difficult time
. In His love,
Elizabeth

Words will never convey the loss we feel in our hearts. He was more than a friend ..he was as close as anyone can get. Generous and kind as well as a great cook! A lover of folk music and the first person I met that knew where Georgetown Prince Edward Island Canada was! We loved him and will miss him dearly

Harry was a unique individual because he had both a brilliant mind and a generous heart. It is difficult to determine which was the dominant. I decided in Harry’s case, it didn’t matter because both traits were present and well expressed frequently through his thoughtful compassion for others.
Thank You Harry for being a dear friend who gave me more than I could have ever given back.
Love, John Trecek
