Horace “Bud” Pratz, 74, died unexpectadely Thursday, early evening hours of January 25, 2018 at Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville, FL. He was born on September 18, 1943 in Logan County Township, NJ. Bud was the son to the late Wilbert and Emma (Carr) Pratz.
Bud moved to Ocala five years ago from Pasco County, FL. He retired as a Supervisor with Pasco County Utilities. Bud served our country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Expert in Rifle M-14. His faith was in Jesus and he clearly expressed it by his love of people and worshiping at Riverland Baptist Church. Bud enjoyed listening to Gospel music, but most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten, as his memory will continue to live in the hearts of all he touched.
He is survived by his son, Mike Pratz (Heather), Pasco County, FL; his daughters, Tammy L. Tyler (Daniel), Ocala, Angela Hobbs, Pasco County, FL, Colleen Pratz, Pasco County, FL; his brothers, Joe Pratz, NJ, George Pratz, Pasco County, FL; his sister, Charlotte Owens, Brooksville, FL; his seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Bud is preceded in death by his ten siblings .
