Jean B. Johnson passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, at the Legacy House of the Hospice of Marion County, in Ocala, FL. She was 90 years old.
She is preceded in death by her mother Evelina and father Wilfred Bernard, and her brother Lionel Bernard. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Harry A. Johnson, jr.; her son Philip C. Euzenas and his wife Cathy; and her daughter Lynn L. Euzenas and dear friend Barbara Durost. She also will be fondly cherished by surviving extended family and beloved friends.
She was born in Hartford, CT on Nov. 22, 1928, where she grew up and attended Bulkeley High School. She attended secretarial school and was medical secretary and office manager for the practices of Dr. Edward Truex , MD, and Dr. Russell Robertson, MD, for many years, and was much beloved by their patients at the Hartford Hospital.
She married Philip Joseph Euzenas in Hartford, CT. They raised two children Philip and Lynn in South Windsor, CT. There she was president of the South Windsor Friends for Music. Her husband died in 1978.
She remarried Harry A. Johnson, jr., and they have been happily married for 38 years. Settling in Dunnellon, FL, Jean and Harry made a beautiful home on a golf course where she enjoyed the flowers, trees, and natural beauty of the Rainbow River area, and made good friends.
She will always be remembered for her kindness and loving nature, her quick wit, her deep strength and courage, and that radiant smile and charm that was who husband Harry called “my dear Jeannie.”
Jean’s family would like to thank the wonderful caring professionals at the Legacy House of the Hospice of Marion Country. They made her last days ones of peace, comfort, and time surrounded by caring, loving, and supportive hands. The hospice team at Legacy are God’s own angels.
