Hialeah, FL and formerly of Dunnellon, Jose “Tony” Antonio Machado, 93, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Hialeah, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70yrs., Olga Machado. He is survived by his children, Lucia Carone, NY, Douglas Machado, FL and Rev. Jose Machado, MN; his eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Tony was born July 25, 1924 in Arecibo, PR to the late Antonio and Lucia (Gonzalez) Machado. Later in life Tony was a baker and cook at St. Vincent’s Hospital in N.Y.C. He was very active in the catholic community of St. John the Baptist Church serving as Eucharistic Minister, Minister to the Sick, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council#8510, the Men's Club, Head Usher and the Fourth Degree Cardinal Spellman Assembly Council #1547, the American Legion Wall Rives Post# 58 and the A.A.R.P. Chapter 357 of Rainbow Lakes Estates. Tony served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War and later in the National Guards. He was a superior, loving and humble man who treasured his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
