Juanita L. Wirthlin, 107 years young passed from this life on October 3, 2018. Her last place of residence was Life Care Center of Ocala, Florida. Juanita is survived by three children, two sons, James Cast and Phillip Cast both of whom reside in California, one daughter Sharon Ellis of Dunnellon, Florida and one sister Rebecca Peek of Washington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren. Juanita was born September 2, 1911 in Kokomo, Indiana and was the eldest daughter of Fred and Mona Peek. She lived in the states of California and Florida for most of her life, was married four times and outlived all of her husbands. In addition to raising a family, she held several different occupations in her lifetime, some of which included, a telephone operator, Rosie the Riveter during World War ll and as a receptionist for the Magic Mirror beauty salon in Southern California. In her long span of life, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crocheting and was even an avid square dancer. Juanita was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
