Mary Ryan Iacino, 95, died April 3, 2017 at John Knox Village, Tampa. Born in Fall River, MA, the daughter of Russell M. and Mary C. Church, Mary attended Indiana University where she met her devoted husband Carmen L. Iacino, who died in 2007.

Mary and Carmen moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1946, where she lovingly raised five children and inspired many more as the leader of Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, while working as a medical secretary. She attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church where she was an ardent supporter of the folk group. Upon retiring to Dunnellon in 1986, she enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and crafts and attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Citrus Springs. In 2008, she moved to John Knox Village in Tampa where she and her dog, Jessi, were community favorites.

Mary had two sons: Carmen L. Iacino II of New Castle, CO and Richard A. Iacino (deceased); three daughters, Dolores Iacino of St. Petersburg, Rita Jane Iacino of Tampa, and Jean M. Iacino of Sacramento, CA; and one grandson, Christopher W. Bruce of Clermont.

Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon is handling the arrangements. Services will be announced at a later date.
