Norma Jean Trotter, 89, died Monday July 23, 2018 at University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville FL. She was born in Dalkena, WA, to Walter and Claudia Jackson Deinhardt. She married Irvin W. Trotter from Largo, FL in 1951, and moved to Winter Park, FL in 1956. Upon retirement in 1987, they moved to Inglis, FL. She was a telephone operator for Pacific Telephone, a homemaker, upholsterer and draper, a crafty lady adept at crocheting and pine needle basket weaving, and an outstanding cook and baker.
Survivors include her daughters JoAnn Trotter Johnson (Doug), Denver, CO, and LaVon Trotter James, DeBary, FL.; grandchildren Christopher James of DeBary, Jackie Johnson Cheek (Eric) of Denver, and Rebecca Johnson Wingfield (Vernon) of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren Paxton Z. James, Chaney Wingfield, and Henry Cheek; brother Walter C. Deinhardt, Boise, ID; step-sister Memory Pengree, Ocean Park, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin, and sister Joan Wells. A private memorial service will take place at a later date with family and friends.
