She was born July 1, 1950 in Port Jefferson, NY to Miriam and David McKendrick.
She graduated from SUNY Oswego and did her graduate work at Syracuse University to complete her permanent teaching
certification. She was employed by the NYS Office of Developmental Disabilities for 33 years serving people with
disabilities in Syracuse and Walton.
Pat married Edward Akullian Jr in 1972 who predeceased her. She married Bernie Theobald in 1987 who predeceased her
in 2016. She was also predeceased by her mother and father.
Pat and Bernie moved from Sidney NY to Dunnellon FL in 2007 after building a home on the beautiful Rainbow River. She
was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and enjoyed kayaking, gardening and spending time with family and
friends.
She will be remembered for her strength, faith, and unconditional love for her family.
The family of Pat Theobald would like to express their appreciation for the years of compassionate care at the University of
Florida Health Oncology Department especially Dr. Thomas George, Scott Watson PA, and Tina and the entire infusion
center nursing staff.
Survivors include her daughters: Laura and husband Matthew D'Agostino of Sudbury MA, Jennifer Akullian and husband
Mark Avery of South Lake Tahoe CA, Lisa and husband Benjamin Gentry of Grovetown GA; stepdaughters Karen
Theobald of Fort Myers FL, Kelley and husband Mark Dorrill of Dunwoody GA; stepsons Kevin and wife Kate Theobald
of Holly Springs NC, Keith and wife Terri Theobald of Sidney NY; grandchildren Anna and Kimberly Gentry, Asher and
Maizie D'Agostino, Cameron Theobald, Michael and Elizabeth Dorrill, Brad and Sarah Theobald; sisters Judy McKendrick
of Gainesville FL, Cynthia and husband Michael Amodio of Patchogue NY, Roberta and husband James Reale of Dunnellon
FL, Katherine and husband Joseph Sophabmixay of West Taylor PA; brother-in-law Bruce and wife Mary Theobald of
Vestal NY; sisters-in-law Donna and husband William Cluse of Southport NC, Patricia Abrams and Suzanne Elston of
Gainesville FL and special nieces, nephews, great nephews, and a great niece.
Calling hours are at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon FL May 7th, 2-4 pm and at Landers Funeral Home in Sidney NY
May 12th, 6-8 pm. A Celebration Mass will be held May 13th, 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sidney NY with
Father Gordon Celebrant.

Theobald to raise awareness and fund development of early detection methods for this disease.
