Michael A. (Uncle Mikey) Davis, 60, of Summerfield, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, March 27, at The Shands University of Florida Hospital, Gainesville.
He was born in Amsterdam, New York and moved to Belleview, FL in 1976 and then to Summerfield, FL in 2002.
He worked in the auto body business all his life and enjoyed racing cars at The Ocala Speedway, he was an avid NASCAR fan and followed Tony Stewart’s career, enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the guitar in a country western band; he was a coach with the New York City Youth Football League (NYCFL) was very active and enjoyed life to the fullest with his Friends.
Survivors include daughters Holly of New York, and Carinne of Florida, his Mother, Mrs. Carolyn V. Davis, Ocala, Twin Brother, Mitchell, Sprakers, New York and Brother, Bruce W. of Ocklawaha; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and host of friends.
A Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, April 1, 2012 at The Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon with Rev. Terry McKee officiating; visitation at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Inurnment will be scheduled at a later date and time in New York.
