Patricia (Hopkins) Powell came into this world in Helena, Montana. She was adopted into a family with three brothers who were sworn to protect her. She blessed her family with 53 years on this Earth.
Trish grew up in Miami and eventually Dunnellon, Florida where she remained until her death on July 31st. As a child she was an accomplished swimmer at a young age and was able to dive off a 30' diving board by the time she was 5. She loved animals and horses and became a horse owner in her teens while participating actively in the F.F.A. at Dunnellon High School.
Trish graduated from Dunnellon High School where she met her husband Ronnie. Together they raised three children Anthony, Tiffany, and Nicholas. Tiffany and Trish were like sisters and spent time together at work and home. Trish was devastated when Tiffany died in 2007 but she showed all of her family how to be strong.
Ronnie died in 2010 and Trish eventually found companionship and love with Donnie Holman. Trish worked as a paper carrier for the Ocala Star Banner for 17 years and was loved by many of her customers and coworkers.
Although Trish fought cancer for the last several years she maintained her strength and sense of humor until the end. She fought hard and her love for her family never wavered. She was a true example of a dedicated mother, wife, and hard working person. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Trish is survived by her sons Anthony and Nicholas, brothers Richard, Brian, and David, a grandson Anthony, and other loving family.
