A G Thompson

A G Thompson, 87, entered into rest on September 10, 2026 in Ocala, FL at the E. W. Lucille Cates Hospice House. He was born into this life on August 23, 1939 in Inglis, FL and was the son to the late, Arthur and Mary (Elkins) Thompson. A G was a carpenter by trade and a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He was also a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Inglis. In his leisure time, A G enjoyed fishing and hunting. In 2024, he and his wife moved from Inglis to Ocala to be with their niece who’s been dedicating her time in taking care of them.

A G is preceded in death by his two sisters and two brothers.

He leaves behind his wife, M. Gertrude Thompson; his brother, James R. Thompson; his niece, Mary Yongue and many more nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Inglis. There will be a public viewing held one hour prior at the church. Burial to follow services at Cedars of Lebanon, Inglis, FL.
