Addie Ruth “Midge” Folks Alexander, 85 went to be with the Lord on  January 9th 2014.  A  native of Dunnellon, she was the youngest daughter of William Henry Folks and Addie Lee Pedrick Folks.  The Folks family was one of  Marion County’s  Pioneer families. After graduating in 1946 as Valedictorian of her class, she enrolled in Florida State College for Women .  She was in one of the earliest graduating classes of  Florida State University where she earned a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.  She taught school in Saint Petersburg and also worked in Marion County Schools. She was married to Robert T Alexander who pre-deceased her in 1976.  She is survived by a daughters Melanie Z Alexander and Lisa J Turnipseed , son in law Raymond Turnipseed and grandson Alex Turnipseed , numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was a member of First Baptist Church Ocala.  She was a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star Dunnellon #235. A celebration of her life will be Tuesday January 14th, 2 pm Robert’s Funeral Home in Dunnellon, FL, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue.  Internment will be in Fellowship Baptist Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be at the Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon, FL, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, on Monday, January 13th from 5 to 8 p.m.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Dunnellon or First Baptist Church Ocala.
