Alan Jay Press

Alan J. Press, age 75, passed away at home under the care of Hospice of Marion County Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Ocala, FL. Born November 30, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the only child of Manuel (Manny) and Leah Press.  Alan is survived by his wife of 56 years Theresa (Terri) Press; his son Michael Press and his wife Kristina, and granddaughter Leyton of Odessa, FL. Alan served in the U.S. Army 1967-1973 and worked in the automotive finance industry thereafter.  He loved bass fishing with his son and was a dog lover, adopting many rescue dogs throughout his life.  Alan loved listening to the Beach Boys and watching the Dodgers play. He was a generous friend always willing to help and most of all dedicated to his family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, FL, with family friend Ari Gelfant officiating.
