Albert F. Ziesmer, Jr., 77, originally from Massillon, OH, passed away in Dunnellon, FL on February 16, 2015. Al married Dianna M. (Mantsch) Ziesmer 56 years ago. Together, they had 3 children: Jodi, Amy and Todd. Al served in the US Navy for 7 years and worked as a programing manager at The Hoover Company for 29 years before moving to Florida to be closer to his family.
Al was a gifted woodworker and musician. He loved playing his Hammond organ, remodeling homes, playing cards and caring for and riding our 4 horses. Al was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star; he was a Past Worshipful Master of Elliott Masonic Lodge #514 of Canal Fulton, OH.
Al is survived by his wife, Dianna, children: Jodi Miller, Amy Ziesmer and Todd Ziesmer; sister, Sue Evans (Charles) of Massillon, OH; 6 grandchildren: Nichole, Amanda, Tegan, Devyn, Alora and Iian; and 4 great-grandchildren: Joey, Nadia, Ma’Kenzi and Ezekiel.
Al was preceded in death by his parents Albert F. Ziesmer, Sr. and Rose A. Ziesmer.
A celebration of life service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Rainbow Lakes Estates, Dunnellon, FL on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, FL or your local Hospice. Arrangements under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.
