Alfred John Morris

Rev. Alfred John Morris,
age 90,
peacefully passed away in his home
to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning
January 20th, 2016.

Alfred was born in Pawtucket, R.I. April 7th, 1925 to Charles and Charlotte Morris.

He proudly served his country in WW II as a US Naval Sailor. He graduated from Barrington College, attended Baptist Seminary and served as a pastor in R.I., and CA. Alfred went on to study at Gordon Divinity Theological Seminary, and the Episcopal Church Divinity School of the Pacific. He was an Ordained Episcopal Priest, served as an associate rector of St. Paul's Church, CA., Vicar of Trinity Church, Pawtucket, R.I. and Rector of Good Shepherd Church, Shelton, CT. for 18 years. Alfred retired in 1988.

He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 59 years, three son's Stephen, Alfred Jr., and Leslie Morris, four grand children Richard, Andrew, Monica, and Malynda.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Faith Episcopal Church memorial fund, or Hospice of Marion County.
