Allan R. Caton, 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 16, 2016 surrounded by family.
Born May 19, 1932 in Cleveland Ohio, he moved his family to Yankeetown in 1962 and built Caton’s Marina on the Withlacoochee River. Then later he started Caton Construction Company which provided families and local businesses with beautiful homes and offices thru-out the tri county area.
A Korean war veteran, custom home builder and master wood turner, he was well respected for his creativity, attention to detail, honesty and loving nature.
He leaves behind a beloved wife of 61 years, four children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Caton will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Marion County, West Team.
