Almeda Jones, 83, homemaker, died January 17, 2015, at West Marion Community Hospital. She was born September 9, 1931, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Ellis and Alta (Hedger) Asbury. She graduated from Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana. Almeda moved to this area in 1992 with her late husband Thomas from Tequesta, Florida and made their home in Rainbow Springs. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by her son, Jeff D. Jones, Sparks, Nevada; her brothers, Bud Asbury and Bill Asbury; her sisters, Rosemary, Cindy and Diane.
Memorial Services celebrating Almeda’s life will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon with Father Kevin MacGabhann officiating.
