Angelo M. Nieves

Citrus Springs- Angelo Manuel Nieves, 85, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at his residence in Citrus Springs, FL while under the care of Vitas Hospice of Citrus County. He was born on December 7, 1936 in Santurce, Puerto Rico and was the son to the late Jose and Josefa (Gonzales) Nieves. He served our country in the United States Air Force. In 1975, Angelo moved to Citrus Springs from Puerto Rico. He owned and operated Angelo’s Gulf and Sports Center. In 1986, he purchased the property North of his Gulf gas station, incorporated both properties, and is now known as Riverview Plaza, across from Dunnellon City Hall. Angelo enjoyed fishing, woodworking and wildlife, especially feeding and watching birds and squirrels. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Garcia and Pura Kennedy.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 61.5 yrs., Lucy Nieves, Citrus Springs, FL; his son, Angelo Nieves (Dawn), Crystal River, FL; his daughter, Laura Bouton (Christopher) Jacksonville, FL; his brother, Jose Nieves (Maria), Puerto Rico; his sister, Maria Sims, Altamonte Springs, FL and his grandchildren, Lauren Nieves, Rachel Nieves Krupka, Katarina Bouton and Marshall Bouton.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon, Friday 9/23 at 11am.
