Ann Marie (Lapierre) Mccarthy

Mrs. Ann Marie McCarthy, 85, of Citrus Springs, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.  A native of Boston, MA, she moved to this area in the mid 80’s, coming here from South Weymouth, MA.  She was very active in her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister as well as sang in the choir.  She was a Gold Star Mother from American legion Post #79 in South Weymouth.  Mrs. McCarthy is survived by her son Kevin Coughlin, her 3 daughters Mary Herman, Patricia Miller, Katherine Hart, her sister Madelone LeBlanc, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband George, her son John, her daughter Karen, and her brother Frank LaPierre.  Visitation for Mrs. McCarthy will be held from 3-5 PM on Thursday, February 25, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, Feb.26, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 W Country Club Blvd, Citrus Springs.  Entombment will follow in Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills.
