SKORUPSKI, Ann Gertrude

Mrs. Ann Gertrude Skorupski, 97, of Dunnellon, passed away Thursday morning at the Harbor House at Ocala.  A native of Duluth, Minnesota, she moved to this area 5 ½ years ago, coming here from Bradenton, FL.  She proudly served her country during WWII in the United States Coast Guard, and later became a Life Member of the American Legion Post #58 in Dunnellon.  Mrs. Skorupski was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include her son Jim Skorupski and his wife Connie of Inverness, son Jeffrey H. Skorupski and his wife Suzanne of Kalamazoo, MI, her sister Geraldine Schule of Bradenton, 4 grandchildren, Deborah Skorupski of Kalamazoo MI, Tim Skorupski of Kalamazoo MI, Candi Grismore of Vincennes IN and William J. Stevenson of Traverse City, MI and 7 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, parents Frank and Mary Niznik, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 grandson, Jeffrey J. Skorupski.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM  at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon.  Condolences may be left at www.robertsofdunnellon.com .
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
