Arlene F. (Winkle) Harty

Arlene F. Harty, 74, Citrus Springs, FL died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at The Hospice of Citrus County Hospice House, Lecanto, FL.  She was born in Chicago, IL, was a medical assistant prior to her retirement to Florida.

She enjoyed participating in a game of chance, socializing/dining, traveling, cooking, listening to music, spending leisure time on the river, she had great joy in caring for others; most importantly, she cherished quality time with her Family and Friends.

She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, was a member of the Citrus Springs VFW, the Dunnellon American Legion, The Republican Party, The Tea Party and The Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her daughter: Sandee (Jerry) Kie, Lockport, IL; Daughter-In-Law: Cyndee Jameson, Citrus Springs, FL; Sons: Bill (Sheri) Strempel, Acworth, GA; Scott (Patricia) Strempel, New Lenox, IL; Brothers: Paul (Mary Ann) Winkle, New Lenox, IL; Frank Winkle, Sarasota, FL; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon.  A gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.  A private Family inurnment will be in Chicago at a later date and time.
