Ashley R. Russ Jr, 84, of Inglis FL, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at his residence.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Inglis with Rev. Bobby Thompson officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
Mr. Russ was born October 15, 1929 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was the son of Ashley R. Russ Sr. and Bessie Mae Hill Russ. After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Russ worked as a linesman for GTE locally and in Canada. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Jeff Hurley of Bainbridge, GA; his granddaughter, Kayla Hurley; good friend, Sylvia Onofrio, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, three siblings and wife Lavina Bejcek Russ of Inglis, FL.
