Barbara Rachel (Buss) Mercer

Barbara Rachel Mercer (Buss) of Williston, Florida passed away January 7, 2022 of natural causes at the age of 53 after a long illness. Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 28, 1968 to Gary and Martha Buss. In 1984, Barbara moved with her family to Williston, Florida at the age of 16. She met her husband John Mercer shortly after and they married September 28, 1985. She spent her adult life as a homemaker and loving mother.

Barbara is survived by her husband John Mercer of 36 years. Her four sons John (Katie) Mercer of Crystal River, Fl; Jeremy Mercer of Williston, Fl; Jordan Mercer of Williston, Fl; and Jacob (Kelsie) Mercer of Williston, Fl. Her grandchildren Megan, Kaylee, Mya, Addison, Mason, and Avery. Her parents Gary and Martha Buss. And, her sisters Sherry (Jaime) Morales, Lori (Anthony) Lesbott, Karissa Neely, Tracy Mulford and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her niece Kimberly Morales and brother-in-law Stuart Neely.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 4pm Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Morriston Baptist Church, located at 3141 US-41, Morriston, Fl 32668. A dinner will follow.
