Barbara Catherine Stroia

Barbara Catherine Stroia, age 86 of Lecanto, Florida passed away March 2, 2018 at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, Florida.

She was born in New York on May 25, 1931 to Niculae and Doris Stroia.  In spite of having Cerebral Palsy, Barbara accomplished much in her life including retiring from her job at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York.  In 1993 she moved to Florida with her sister and family.

For the past three years she has been a resident of Diamond Ridge Health & Rehab Center in Lecanto.

She is survived by her sister Constance Gnos of Lecanto, her niece Lisa Gnos of Inverness, and nephew Robert Gnos of Bradenton and a great niece and nephew.
