OBITUARY
Dunnellon- Betty M. Decker,84, passed away on March 13, 2015 at the Hospice House of Citrus County, Lecanto, FL. She was born in Miami, FL and became a resident of Dunnellon in 1971. She will be remembered lovingly by her brother Harry Marshall; her daughter, Sherrie Van Skoyck and Karen Hendrix; her sons, Joel Pafford, Michael, John and James Wix along with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, two loving pets and friends.
In her life she was very active in Ladies Auxillary of the VFW where she is a past State President with the Department of Florida and life member in the VFW Post 4252. Betty was also a past State President of the M.O.C. out house #7. As the first woman to sit on City Council of Dunnellon, she was very active with the Zoning Board. Along with these accomplishments she has achieved so many different callings. Ms. Decker was most passionate about Cancer Aid and Research of the VFW.
Memorial Services Celebrating Betty’s life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the VFW Post 4252, 3190 N. Carl G. Rose Hwy, Hernando, FL.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made in Betty’s memory to cover expenses to P.O. Box #6, Dunnellon, FL 34430.
