Betty Ann Munzing

December 24, 1937 — March 31, 2020

Betty Ann Munzing, 82, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her residence in Dunnellon. She was born into this life on December 24, 1937 and was the daughter to the late Onesime and Dorothy (Bubar) Bouchard. Betty was born and raised in Caribou, Maine and met her husband while he was stationed in Loring Air Force Base. In 1995 Betty and her husband, George moved to Dunnellon from Monroe, NY. She was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon and was a former member of the Garden Club and the Womens Auxillary of the Knights of Columbus. Betty enjoyed playing mahjong, gardening, quilting and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Munzing and her brother, Donald Bouchard.

She leaves behind her husband of fifty nine years, George Munzing, Dunnellon; her sons, Scott Munzing and his two sons, Dunnellon, FL; Jeff Munzing, Orlando, FL; her daughter, Monica Crandall (Tim) and her son, Deland, FL; her brother, Philip Bouchard, Vermont; her sisters, Patsy McKenney (Vern “Buck”), Caribou, ME, Norma Bennett, Caribou, ME, Nancy Stauffer (Tom), Tulsa, OK and Barbara Guttenberg, Point Pleasant, NJ; her daughter in law, Barbara Munzing and her two daughters; her five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 there will be a celebration of life planned at a later date.
