Bill Boothby
October 16, 1939 — April 15, 2017
Mr. Bill Boothby, 77, of Ocala, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Ocala Regional Medical Center. Born in Geneseo, New York, he and his family moved to Ocala in 1980.
Bill was an entrepreneur, having been involved in several businesses. He was best known in Ocala as the owner/operator of Big Sun Auto Auction. He was also an avid collector of classic cars, and had received world ranking as a poker player. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Dawn Boothby, sons Joey and Greg Boothby, his daughter Cheryl Falbo, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 4 PM Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Ocala Hilton, 3600 SW 36th Ave, Ocala, with Dr. Donald W. Jones officiating. Casual attire please!
