Brian Henry Mattila

Brian H Mattila 66 passed away August 9th at his home. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer July 13 which led to problems with other organs. He currently resided in Dunnellon, Florida with his wife Bonnie of 32 yrs. He previously lived in the home he and his wife built on lake Vermillion where he enjoyed catching walleyes off the dock. He retired from US Steel where he was employed for 30 yrs. He left behind his wife Bonnie, stepsons Trent (Debbie) Phillips, Trevor (Lynn) Phillips, daughters Mya (Dan) Lambert, Marissa (David) Engrav. Sisters Candy (Dale) Sprague, Kim (John) Schwartz), Cindy (Richard) Marolt, Kelly (Ted) Elofson, Connie (Tim) Fink, brother Michael Wattunen, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Henry Mattila, mother Lois Wattunen, stepfather Peter Wattunen, uncle David Maki and grand parents. A private graveside ceremony will take place August 26.
