Brian David Thompson

Mr. Brian David Thompson, 43, of Ocala, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Shands at UF in Gainesville. Born in Ocala, Mr. Thompson was a lifelong resident of Marion County.  He was an EVG Supervisor with ClosetMaid, and a proud member of the NRA.  He was known as a loving and dedicated husband, father, and son.  His priorities were family first, then church, then his hobbies of hunting, fishing and collecting guns.   He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ocala 1st Ward.  His survivors include his wife, Lydia J. Thompson, his parents David and Donna Thompson, his son Bryan Thompson,  two daughters Alexsandra F. Smolko and Shawna M. Roberts, two brothers Michael Ray Thompson and Robert David Thompson, and his sister Michelle Madalene Thompson.  Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ocala.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until service time.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.  Arrangements under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon.
