Carol D. Erskine, 77, retired school teacher, died on April 25, 2014 in Ocala, FL. She was born into this life on June 8, 1936 in the Bronx, NY to the late Fred and Louise(Marquer) DeLuca.
Carol moved to the Dunnellon area in the early 90’s from New York. She volunteered her free time at the Rainbow Springs State Park and was just a philanthropical lady . Carol was an avid reader, world traveler and very fanatical about music and the arts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Erskine, Jr. in 1995.
Carol is survived by her children, Edward Lee Erskine, Long Island, NY and Victoria Erskine, Freehold, NJ; her grandchildren, Edward Austin Erskine, Ariel Moynihan and Hannah Schneider. “We love you and we will miss you”.
Her family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 East Pennsylvania Ave. from 5- 8 PM. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with Rev. Mark Trout officiating.
Memorial Contributions can be made in Carol’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place ,Memphis, TN 38105 , or to the National Wildlife Federation, P.O. Box 1583, Merrifield, VA.
