Catherine Schlosser Healey, Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 24, at her residence.
She was born October 7, 1920 in Kleinbetschkerek, Romania and immigrated to The United States in 1935 at the young age of 15.  She was one of five children to the late George and Catharina Schlosser and was married in 1945 to the late Daniel J. Healey.

Making her home in North Merrick, NY she retired from Macy’s with 19 years of service and moved to Miami, FL.  Catherine found great reward as a contributing member of her neighborhood ladies club providing handmade knitted goods for the local women’s shelter and children’s hospital.  She was an active member of the St. John the Baptist Church, Dunnellon, FL.

Catherine touched the lives of her Family, Friends and anyone fortunate enough to meet her was forever blessed.

Survivors include her sons Stephen (Claire) Healey, Angeles City, Philippines; Wayne (Marilyn) Chalker, NC; Daughter, Maureen (Tom) Peterson, Ocala, FL; Grandchildren, Colleen (Bryan)  Beaird, High Point, NC; Keith (Emily) Peterson, Lake City, FL; Joseph & Stephanie Healey, Angeles City, Philippines; Great Grandchildren Jared, Logan & Conner Beaird, Nola Lee Peterson and her guardian and faithful dog Bonnie.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon with Father Kevin MacGabhann officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474 or Pet Network, Inc., P.O. Box 56, Morriston, FL  32668.
