CECIDIO “JOE” DAMICO, age 77, of Dunnellon, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Legacy House in Ocala.
Joe was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 13, 1934 to the late Luigi & Rosario (Colaluca) Damico. He was the owner and operator of Broadway Superette Deli, better know as “Joes,” in Jersey City.
He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rose A. Damico, two daughters, Pamela (Sal) Antoniello of Rockaway, NJ, Lisa (Brian) Slattery of Dunnellon, his sister, Mary Despotovich of Lyndhurst, NJ and two granddaughters, Maria & Gina.
A celebration of life memorial mass will be offered on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Inurnment will follow at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
