Charles "Rick" Nelson

CHARLES R. “RICK” NELSON, age 63 of Dunnellon, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at his residence.  A native of Chicago, Illinois, Rick moved to Florida in 1974 with his wife and eventually settling in Ocala and moved to Dunnellon in 2002.  A loving husband, super dad and friend.   Rick gave in his life to make people laugh.  His majority of his career was in real estate sales, but he also proudly served as a firefighter in Sunrise, Florida.  He also served on the Planning Commission for the City of Dunnellon.  Survivors include his loving wife  of 40 years, Melodie S. Nelson, three sons, Richard (Kayla) Nelson, Christopher (Jennifer) Nelson, Michael Nelson, his sister, Linda (Ken) Beechler and one grandson, Noah.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant Children’s Home of Dunnellon or the American Kidney Fund.  A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday February 26 ,2011 at  1PM from the Springs Presbyterian Church.  Inurnment will follow at a later date a Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ocala.   Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon.
