Charles Doran Putman

Charles Doran Putman, 92, of Dunnellon, died Sunday at his residence. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Charles and Margaret (Furthmiller) Putman. Mr. Putman was a farmer and welder by trade and served in the United States Army.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Putman. He is survived by a son John Putman and Daughter in law, Rosemary Putman,  daughter, Ann Smith, sister, Wanda Christen, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson and many close friends. Mr. Putman was a long time resident of New Haven, Indiana and Homestead, FL.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Wednesday (7/31) with full military honors. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon (352-489-2429).
