Christopher Keahi Keola Vanture born January 14, 1980, in Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away April 19, 2017 at West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Florida after a sudden illness.
Christopher graduated from Dunnellon High school, Class of 1998. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 2001-2005 which included a tour of duty in Iraq. After being honorably discharged he continued serving his community as a paramedic and a firefighter.
He is survived by his mother, Nancie, his siblings Leila and Nick Bucheck, sons Zachary Vanture and Blake Land, stepchildren Victoria and Jayden Crum, and a host of extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
A military memorial service is planned for May 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Bushnell, Florida at the Florida National Cemetery with a gathering to follow at the local Bushnell VFW.
