Constance H. Martel, 82, of Dunnellon, died Monday (11/18/2013) at Timber Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 6, 1931 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Harold W. and Sally Starr Houston. Mrs. Martel retired from the Florida State Supreme Court as a Judicial Assistant. She was a Florida resident for sixty five years moving to Marion County in 1999.
Surviving family includes her loving husband Charles R. Martel; children and relatives: sons Craig R. Baxter, Loxahatchee, FL., Don R. Baxter, West Palm Beach, and Keith A. Baxter, Singer Island, FL.; granddaughter Kelly Baxter; grandson Kevin Baxter; step children Michelle Leonard, Tallahassee, FL, Charles R. Martel Jr., Pawleys Island, SC., Tom Martel, Lexington, KY., Andrea Griswold, Mendota, IL., Mark Martel, West Palm Beach, FL.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday (11/26/2013) at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL., with Reverend Jeffrey w. Welch, Dunnellon Presbyterian Church, officiating.
