Dale F. Stephenson
January 26, 1926 — July 12, 2016
Dale F. Stephenson, born January 26, 1926 in Delaware County, Indiana, died after a short illness July 12, 2016 at Legacy Hospice in Ocala, Florida. Dale is survived by his special friend, Ruth Fero; children, Dale Stephenson, Jr. and Patti Sue Osborne, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; sister’s Zelmeda Dearing, Janice Miles and Leah Ritchie (husband Bill) and sister’s in-law Thelma Stephenson, Margaret Stephenson and Sandra Howells, and many nieces and nephews including his special nephew Cliff Lenox. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma P. Stephenson, brother’s George, Harry, John and Ora Stephenson; his sister, Anna Johnson as well as his parents Avon and Hazel Stephenson.
Dale worked for Teamsters local 135 for 30 years as a business agent. He waqs also active in local poitics for many years in Delaware county, Indiana. Dale also volunteered with AARP teaching numerous “55 Alive” classes in the Dunnellon/Ocala Florida Area, as well as being active in the St John’s Knights of Columbus chapter and Men’s Club.
Funeral Mass will be Friday July 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon, with viewing also at the church beginning at 12:00 noon.
