Daniel "Poppy" Adams

Daniel “Poppy” Adams, 71, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Cates Hospice House in Ocala, FL. He was born into this life on February 16, 1952 in Clearwater, FL and was the son to the late Fred Adams and Mildred Whitfield Adams. Daniel was the youngest of eleven brothers and sisters. He grew up in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated from Northeast High School and later on worked for WINCO 15 years. In 1989, he relocated to Dunnellon after WINCO moved from St. Pete. While living in Dunnellon he started working for the City Public Works up until he got sick and could no longer work. Daniel was a man of God who enjoyed helping others in need and worshiping his Lord and Savior as an Elder at Dunnellon Community Church. He will be greatly  missed by all of his family friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Matthew Adams and Stephen Adams; his daughter, Joy Laroche; his brother, Bill Adams; his sisters, Joy Adams and Mary Lou Christensen; his grandchildren, Bailey, Matthew, Evangeline, Naomi and Raelynn.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Citrus Community Church: 82 Civic Circle, Beverly Hills, FL 34465. He will be laid to rest at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens at a later date.
