Dave Vincent Pezza

Dave Pezza, 65, of Morriston, passed away on March 15, 2026.

Born on August 31, 1960, Dave was a creative force whose imagination, ingenuity, and gifted hands left a lasting mark on everyone and everything he touched. With a natural talent for building and restoring, he approached every project—big or small—with creativity, determination, and quiet pride. He had an eye for seeing beauty and potential in old or forgotten things, breathing new life into them through his craftsmanship.

Dave spent his younger years exploring life from New York to New Jersey, Colorado, California, and eventually Florida, collecting stories, friendships, and adventures everywhere he went. He attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where he jokingly “majored in skiing as much as possible” while earning his bachelor’s degree in 1986. During his time there, he was also a proud member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, forming lifelong friendships and memories that stayed with him throughout the years.

Dave’s greatest joy was creating spaces and moments where people could come together. He built beloved gathering spots like the River Shack and the Crusty Crab, and he turned the family lake—affectionately known as “Pismo Beach”—into a cherished haven filled with laughter, relaxation, good food, and lifelong memories. Whether tinkering on a project, sharing stories, or simply making others feel welcome, Dave had a generous heart and a warm spirit that drew people in.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Ludington; his children, Kevin, Katelyn, and Kristin; and his siblings, Dean and Diana. Dave will be deeply missed by his extended family and the many friends whose lives were brighter because of his kindness, humor, adventurous spirit, and welcoming presence.

Though he left us far too soon, the places he built, the treasures he restored, and the love he so freely gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is not only in what he created with his hands, but in the enduring bonds he forged with the people he loved.

A celebration of life will be held May 16th in Morriston Fl.
