David Earl Johnson

David Earl Johnson, age 65 of Inverness, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully on Monday January 1, 2018. He was born June 21, 1952 at Atterbury Army Base, Indiana to Mary Johnson(Austin) and the late Leo Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Karen Johnson, his 2 sons, Jay and Matthew and 2 daughters Dawn Johnson-Warren and Sara Johnson, and their spouses, and his 2 grandchildren McKenna Johnson and Grayson Warren.
David was known to most as Captain Dave. He piloted a boat up and down the rainbow river for divers, floaters, friends and family. He would give us interesting stories of the different wildlife and the wonderful springs of the river. Captain Dave made friends up and down the river and on the internet telling of his love for the Rainbow River and his family. He made friends where ever he went.
