David Andrew Mcgovern, Jr.

David A. McGovern, Jr., 85, died on February 2, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County in Lecanto, FL. A proud US Marine who served our country proudly will be dearly missed by those left behind especially his family which consist of his  wife of 61yrs., Marjorie McGovern, Dunnellon; his children, David McGovern, III, Marie Ogram(Don), Sheila Becker and Patrick McGovern; his brother Michael McGovern; his sister, Nancy Kopriva and eight grandchildren.

David was born August 15, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN to the late David Andrew McGovern,Sr. and Marie(Nielsen) McGovern. He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon and was active as a Eucharistic Minister, Minister of the sick, former member of the Stewardship committee, and former president of the Kiwanis Club in Dunnellon. He enjoyed playing golf but most importantly his family.
