Debra Sue St. John Schmidt

Debra Sue St. John Schmidt, 70, of Dunnellon, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, in Ocala.  Born in Hartford City, Indiana, she moved to Florida in 1978, coming here from Elkhart, Indiana. She worked for WalMart for 25 years, both in North Carolina and Dunnellon.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, where she also volunteered at the 2nd Chance Thrift Shop.

Debra was preceded in death by her husband Herbert, who died exactly one year before her.  Her survivors include her faithful canine companion Cinder, children Roger and Matthew Conant, Terry and Randy Schmidt, and Wendi Barnett; sisters Marlene Kelleher (Andy) and Danette Stringfellow (Jack); 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at First United Methodist Church Dunnellon, with Pastor Eddie Fulford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County.
