Diana Lou Wackler

Diana Lou Wackler, 76 passed away peacefully December 11, 2013 in her home in Dunnellon, FL., surrounded by her loving family.  Diana was a retired dance teacher and member of Chicago Dance Masters Assoc., also active Ladies auxiliary VFW and the Garden Club in Dunnellon, FL.  She volunteered throughout her life through her dance, thrift stores, serving dinners,and was active in her community. She was a beautiful artist and enjoyed painting, knitting, gardening and cooking.  Diana loved the wind in her face while driving boats, snowmobiles and motorcycles, she had a gusto for life and brought adventure with her wherever she went with friends and family.  Diana was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hiawassee and enjoyed Mountain of Faith Baptist in Hayesville and First United Methodist in Dunnellon, FL.

Diana was preceded in death by her son Scott Ahrens and grandson Nathan Melocchi.  She is survived by her husband Harold Wackler, daughters, Kimberly Melocchi of Dunnellon, FL., Karen Volk of Hayesville, NC., son Kipp Ahrens of Vero Beach, FL.  Grandchildren Andrea Campbell and husband Justin of Citra, FL., Elizabeth Bierma and husband Jason, Angela Manella and husband Mike of McKeesport, PA., Sara Harcus and husband Joshua of Wilmington, NC., Katie McEwen and Laurie McEwen of Hayesville, NC., Great grandchildren Layla Nix and Addison Campbell of FL., Ava and Sadie Manella of PA.  Dianas beloved animals, Rory, Minnie and Charlie.

Services were held at First United Methodist Church in Dunnellon, FL., with Pastor Eddie Fulford officiating.
