Diane Peterson Mathews

Diane Peterson Mathews, 71, passed away July 12th, 2024. Diane was born to TJ and Ethel May Peterson on April 6th, 1953. She was a graduate of Dunnellon High School, a lifelong resident of Dunnellon, Florida, and a member of the First Methodist Church of Dunnellon. Diane retired from Levy County School Board after over thirty years of service at Yankeetown School.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband of fifty two years, Daniel F. Mathews; her son, Larry Mathews (Dana); her granddaughters, Haley Ivey (Daniel), Lauren Mathews and Jewlia Mathews; her great granddaughter, Audrey May Ivey; her sisters, Peggy Nichols (Ronnie) and Sue Ellen Peterson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bobby Peterson, and her precious daughter, Sheridan Mathews.

Diane’s family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 4-7PM at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon. There will be a Graveside Service on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sand Pond Cemetery, Sand Pond Cemetery, 13191 SE 125 Ln, Dunnellon, FL 34431
