Donald Lee Funk

Donald Lee Funk, 63, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2019, with his family by his side in Ocala, Florida. He was born on March 6, 1956 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.  Donald was a Communications Computer Specialist with FEMA for 30 years in Mount Weather, Virginia.  Prior to joining FEMA, he served proudly in the United States Army, primarily stationed in Germany then employed by the Department of Navy.

Mr. Funk is survived by his wife, Linda Simmons Funk of Dunnellon, Florida; Step-Children JoAnn Murray and Brooks Fleming of Ashburn, Virginia; Michael Simmons and wife Michelle of Tampa, Florida; Grandchildren Joseph Murray and Melissa Sathmary of Ashburn, Virginia; Harrison, Hannah and Hailey Simmons of Tampa, Florida; Great Granddaughter Audrey Teeft of Ashburn, Virginia; Brother Clarence Funk and wife Shirley of Edinberg, Virginia and Niece Michelle Heier and family of Edinburg, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon, Florida.
