Donald O. St. John, 74, died on June 2, 2025, at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born on March 5, 1951, in Exeter, New Hampshire and was the son to the late William and Sadie (Belanger) Teague. Donald was raised in Fremont, New Hampshire. He was in the United States Army and served in the 197th Infantry in Vietnam where he received several medals of honor. He attended Jump School in Ft. Bragg and was later stationed in Colorado and Ft. Benning, Georgia. Following his military journey, Donald moved back to New Hampshire where he managed Pondside Motel, worked at Northland Lumber in Kingston, NH, Gemini Valve in Raymond, NH, and Brocks Hardware in Rochester, NH. He later married Corinne Vachon and lived in Barrington, New Hampshire for the next 28yrs. In 2019, Donald and Corinne decided to move to a warmer climate in Citrus Springs, FL. Don enjoyed music and played bass guitar in several local bands. In his leisure time he enjoyed woodworking and creating pieces of jewelry. Don was an avid fisherman, adored his family, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. His positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor, even though he was in pain a large part of his life, was an inspiration.
Donald is preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Robert Teague.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 34yrs., Corinne St. John, Citrus Springs, FL; his son, Donald St. John, Danville, NH; his daughter, Renee O’Brien and her husband, Sean of Northfield, NH; his brother, Michael St. John and his wife Donna of Raymond, NH and one grandson, Richard O’Brien.
His sister in-law Maryann Thorgerson of Manchester, NH; Brother in-law Al and his wife Pat Vachon of Nottingham, NH; and his brother in-law Ernie and his wife Patty Vachon of Maine as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Military Honors followed by inurnment will be held at a later date at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
