Dorothy May Hardesty, 87, of Charleston, formerly of Dunnellon, FL, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Urshan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
Dorothy was born March 24, 1926 at Greenup, Illinois, daughter of William and Ona Bell (Evans) Morris. She married William Hardesty; he preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons: James C. Johnson of Lakeland, FL, Timothy Hardesty of Dunnellon, FL, and David Hardesty of Decatur, IL; and five daughters: Teresa Hardesty of Charleston, Peggy Stephens of Illinois, Sue Hardesty of Arkansas, Frankie Price of Charleston, and Sierra Kwasny of Dunnellon, FL. Thirty grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, one half-brother, one sister, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was a homemaker and had worked as a Seamstress. She attended Gospel Barn Church
