Inglis- Dorothy Jean Scott, 88, died on August 16, 2017  while under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. She leaves behind her husband, Gordon A. Scott; her daughter, Dee Dee Corey and her husband, Bob Corey; her son, Brad A. Scott and his wife Debbie Scott; her brother, James Leckner; her sisters, Eva Blomgren, Lucille Butler; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy married Gordon in December 16, 1949. For 67yrs. of marriage, she was a devoted wife and a loving “Stay at home” Mom. She loved vegetable gardening, RV camping and organizing back yard parties for family and friends. She survived a viral encephalitis in 1986 which left her with a “Two minute memory”. For awhile, Dorothy played bridge with her friends as that part of her brain was not damaged. In her later years, she became a Master at making memory check off lists, playing solitare, and doing jigsaw puzzles and search –a-word books. The family and friends that survive her will forever have more than “Two minutes” of wonderful memories and stories to tell.

A “memory sharing memorial” will be held at her Florida home on November 6th, 2017 at 3’ O Clock PM where her ashes will be interred in a Memory Tree planting urn designed by Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, 3350 West Audubon Park Path, Lecanto, FL 34461.
