Dwight A. Hollifield

Dwight Alan Hollifield, 64, died unexpectedly on March 1, 2025 at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1960 in Greensboro, NC. When Dwight was four years old, his family moved to Merritt Island, FL and that’s where he grew up and met his wife Kelly. They  married in 1984 and moved around from Merritt Island to Deltona, FL  for ten years, then to  Blairsville, GA for eight years before settling in Lawrenceville, GA,  and finally to Dunnellon eleven years ago. Throughout his life, Dwight worked as a pipefitter and plumber in commercial settings, including schools and primarily hospitals. He worked for several companies, such as Harper Mechanical, Shumate Mechanical and eventually opened up his own business, Care Plumbing while he was living in Blairsville, GA. Dwight attended River Life Church in Dunnellon, and in his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and  watching college football and NASCAR racing. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Hollifield; his two sisters, Donna Ryan and Lisa Helton.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kelly  Hollifield, Dunnellon; his son Peyton Hollifield, Dunnellon; his daughters, Amanda Johnson, Ocala, FL, and Alicia Hollifield, Ocala, FL; his mother, Carol Marie Hollifield, GA;  his brothers, Bill Hollifield and his wife Tammy, Debary, FL, and Paul Hollifield and his wife, Anne, Snellville, GA; his sister, Cynthia, Lawrenceville, FL; his grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Kylie Adams, and  Olivia Hollifield.
